GENERAL REMARKS
Any visitor arriving at the site entrance without a booking is considered as an individual visitor, even if part of a group of over 15 people.
The admission charges for individual visitors are those shown on the website http://www.prehisto.museum/tarifs-horaires-acces/.
An entrance ticket is essential in order to enter and leave the Préhistomuseum. Individual visitors should take an entrance ticket from the automatic ticket machine located ahead of the access control points, even if holding an advance ticket purchased online, or eligible for a reduction or free admission (free admission, professional accreditation, etc.).
Copies or reproductions of tickets are not accepted.
All individual visitors must pay for their ticket, either at the automatic payment terminal or at the Ticket Office-Shop counter, failing which they will be unable to exit the site. Visitors holding an advance ticket, or entitled to a reduction or free admission, must have their ticket checked and validated at the Ticket Office-Shop counter.
The Préhistomuseum accepts valid “Article 27” vouchers as a means of payment.
Once payment is made, or a reduction/free admission issued by the member of Ticket Office-Shop staff, the ticket can be used at the end of the visit to exit the premises via the access control points (any exit is final). In the case of advance tickets purchased online, the individual visitor is subject to the general terms & conditions of the ticketing website.
During opening hours, a visitor wishing only to eat in the Archéobistrot or Archéorestaurant must nevertheless take an entrance ticket at the automatic ticket machine. After the meal, but only if the visitor does not intend to visit the Préhistomuseum, their entrance ticket will be validated by a member of the Archéorestaurant team, allowing the visitor to exit the site within the next 30 minutes. CONDITIONS IN THE EVENT OF DEFERRED PAYMENT
Any invoice issued on the basis of deferred payment and not settled at its due date (one calendar month) will be increased by a fixed-rate penalty of €20 on first reminder and €40 on second reminder.
In addition, with effect from the third reminder, the invoice shall automatically attract late payment interest at the rate of 15% as from the date payable until paid in full, with every month commenced counting as a full month due. No formal notice is required for this interest to begin accruing. This measure provides for fixed-rate and irreducible compensation for our extra-judicial collection costs, without prejudice to any legal and procedural costs to which we may be entitled.
4. Holiday activity courses
GENERAL REMARKS
The Préhistomuseum runs activity courses during Belgian school holidays for children from the age of 4 and up.
The age limits – minimum and maximum – laid down for each of the courses must be strictly adhered to. The required age is the age the child has reached no later than the first day of the course.
In the event of any doubt as to the child’s aptitude to take part in the course, the child’s legal guardian should contact the Advice& Booking Service to request further information on the nature and details of the course in order to arrive at an informed decision.
Children must be registered for an activity course by submitting a registration form by e-mail to info@prehisto.museum, or by post to Préhistomuseum – Stage, rue de la Grotte 128, 4400 Flémalle.
Registration forms are dealt with in the order of their arrival, as witnessed by the e-mail timestamp or postmark. When a course is fully subscribed, the child may be placed on a waiting list.
Precise contact details must be provided for the person responsible for the child’s registration, who undertakes to pay the course fee. Prices quoted include supervision, insurance, loan of equipment, travel costs and any admission charges. They do not include food or drink, which are to be provided by the person responsible for the child.
As confirmation of registration, the person responsible for the child will receive an invoice by e-mail or, on request, by post.
In the event of bad weather, activity courses primarily taking place outdoors will nevertheless go ahead.
The courses begin at 9 am and end at 4 pm. Free out-of-hours care is available from 8 to 9 am and from 4 to 5 pm. The Préhistomuseum accepts no responsibility for any child attending the course dropped off prior to 8 am and may charge a supplement (€25 per hour of over-run) for children not collected on time at the end of the day, unless the person responsible for the child can provide proof of force majeure.
As part of their task of organising and supervising the course, Préhistomuseum staff may take photographs of the children in the course of the activities or during everyday life on site. These photographs may be used to promote the Museum’s activities. Registering a child on the course implies acceptance of this possibility. Any child attending a course or parent of a child may nevertheless refuse authorisation for the publication of photographs in which the child is identifiable, by submitting a written request: by letter addressed to Préhistomuseum - Stage, rue de la Grotte 128, 4400 Flémalle or by e-mail to info@prehisto.museum.
CONDITIONS
The course fee must be paid prior to the start of the course. Registering for a course implies acceptance of the general terms & conditions and of the rules of conduct of community life as set out by the course facilitators.
Registrations close 8 calendar days prior to the start of the course. Late registrations will be subject to acceptance by the management of the Museum.
Any course may be cancelled without further explanation up to 10 working days prior to the start of the course.
Beyond this deadline, the course fee will be payable in full.
Fees will be refunded only in the following circumstances: illness or accident prior to the course on presentation of a doctor’s certificate dated no later than the first day of the course. If the illness or accident occurs during the course, and as long as the accident is not the result of negligence, disobedience or failure to obey the instructions given, the refund will be proportional to the number of days of the course missed.
5. Jurisdiction in the event of dispute
The various legal authorities of Liège shall have sole jurisdiction in deciding any dispute in which the Préhistomuseum might be involved, either as plaintiff or defendant. Should the dispute fall under cantonal powers, the 1st canton of Liège shall have jurisdiction.
